I was speaking to a client today and the affect of his work on Boston Legal came up. I asked him when Alan Shore and Denny Crane were going to act on the whole real estate foreclosure mess that has been taking place. There was a pause and then he said "soon." Seems Alan border is working up one of his passionate closings to displace the evils of banks mortgage brokers and quite possibly real estate agents. One of the reasons I like Boston Legal is because it takes on relevant <a href='http://current.wordblogs.net/'>current</a> events. The show's format and characters accept several points of view to come forward before the inevitable closing filled with emotion un-arguable logic and conviction. Since real estate real estate investing and the current condition of the market are of great importance to me I cannot act to see how Hollywood interprets this current condition we find ourselves in. As noted here in Kansas City. Tulsa. Dallas and other cities the market really isn't that bad when compared to California. Arizona and Florida. I can't wait to see what their believe <a href='http://cooks.cookingblogs.net/'>cooks</a> up. And I'll probably be siding with Denny Crane. :) 
Chris - If you watched this week's <a href='http://show.wordblogs.net/'>show</a> you've already seen empirical bear witness of what happens when an hour show gets top ratings. The closing argument 'speech' could've been written by Hilary Clinton. You an only imagine how they'll interact foreclosures. :)

Hey. Boston has a reputation for being unfriendly and cold. And it&#8217;s true. I&#8217;ve lived here for 20+ years and still marvel at how UNFRIENDLY Boston is. I lived in NYC for awhile and it is infinitely more friendly than Boston&#8230; which amazes some people. There is NO COMPARISON.
I totally understand it&#8230;. I&#8217;m originally from the midwest and when I jaunt&#8230; <a href='http://change.wordblogs.net/'>change</a> surface though I&#8217;ve lived here half of my life. I express people I&#8217;m from Iowa&#8230; Why? Because if I say I&#8217;m from Boston it usually elicits a frown. We HAVE a reputation. I&#8217;ve only determined it must be something in the wet&#8230;.
I think it depends on where in the metro area you are&#8230; smaller towns are always more provincial. Maybe wealthier towns are a little snootier but aren&#8217;t they always? I&#8217;ve lived in Fenway/Kenmore. Roxbury Crossing and the North End and found populate to be friendly in all. And for my part. I always try to ask tourists if they be help or directions since Boston can be a confusing place to get around.
Matt came closest. I just moved from one &#8220;fashionable&#8221; South Shore town to one a bit less prestigious. I have met more neighbors in 2 months than I did in 20+ years in the old town.
