"HUD Short Sale requirements" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-10-16 05:43:06

I believe this will make some of our members a tremendous amount of money. Specializing in web application design. CanTech can make magic happen for your web site. I just failed to complete a Short Sale with Wells Fargo on an FHA mortgage. Everything should have worked but didn't. The BPO was $80K my offer was $56200 and all of the paperwork was completed correctly. It didn't work for two reasons:1. Hud Requirement - The short sale sales price must be greater than 60% of the amount owed.2. Hud Requirement - The Property can need no more than $10K in repairs. This house was gutted the home owner tore everything out of the house down to the studs no plumbing no heating no interior walls. It was a renovation gone bad. It seems rediculous that there is no way of dealing around this since it will work in no ones favor the bank. HUD the homeowner everyone makes out worse in the current scenario. Has anyone else encountered these HUD requirements?Does anyone know if the bank has a way around them? I haven't personally but don't worry. They will eventually list it with one of the REO agents for much less. Make sure you are ready. Powered by vBulletin® Version 3.7.1Copyright ©2000 - 2008.
